Ok, Can someone please explain fog lights on the LS
I have a 2013 LS and would love to put fog lights in it. So far I think I need a harness but have a few questions I cannot find answers for.
1) Do I NEED a harness? Is there anyway to wire without one (bulb type idk) and if so how is it done. 2) I read somewhere the Tahoe fog lights work with the Camaro and are much cheaper. Plus I read they come with a working harness. Would these work and HOW would I hook them up http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLEAR-07-12-...4941da&vxp=mtr Thanks to anyone who can help |

yes the tahoe lights will work but if u do get a harness for them they wont work unless you go to the dealer and get them programed to work
option 2 would be to wire to a switch or your running lights |

Ok thanks guys. Can someone explain what "tapping into side markers" means?
I think that is the cheaper way to go. |

Installed them on mine last week. Cost 140$ in parts and about an hour of time.

@hayden
Sorry for asking a million times but how did you power them. I understand how to get them in the car but wiring confuses the hell out of me. I feel like I'm gonna have a "aha" moment soon. |

If you are using LED bulbs that do not require much power to run. You can simply T-Tap into the side marker. Running a positive wire from your bulb then tapping it into your side marker positive wire using a "T-Tap". Your just connecting the positive wire from your bulb to the positive wire on your side marker. Same way with your negative off the bulb. Pretty straight forward. No need to remove fascia either.. Just do it from wheel wells. Torque screw is the only tool!

Basically just crimping, I added tape to help further secure.. and clean things up a tad bit.

t-tap--you crimp the blue part on the stock running lamp wires..and you crimp the white part on the end of the fog light wires(you'll have to cut the existing harness connector off of the fog light) and the white part plugs into the blue part

I was under the impression that the LS harness does not have the ability to add fogs and they must be wired to the side lamps. I've done a lot of research on this and have yet to see otherwise. Anyone want to clear that up? Thanks
