I hate Saskatchewan
Thought I'd take a pic a vent a little .. Been stored since first week of October and still have so much snow outside ...
Go away winter |

I would seriously consider getting some snow tires if I had to store the car that long.

Northeast PA isn't much better. Mine is stored from November to May. Takes a long time to get the cinders and salt off the roads around here.
Also from what I have seen it may be better to store your car so the weight of the wheels isn't pulling on the suspension for months at a time. Maybe put the jack stands in a spot where the suspension stays compressed if you want the tires off the ground to avoid flat spotting.

You should at least store it in nov. I stored my SS end of nov last year and could have wait till mid december!
There almost no snow left here too...I could take the 4th Gen out, but its for sale.

Do you guys use much salt up there? If you don't, you really need to be driving it. haha We use mostly sand as far as I know here in North Dakota.
Salt would be the only reason why I wouldn't drive my car in the winter if I had another vehicle and storage. Thankfully we don't use much salt here and I got a good set of winter tires so she handles like a champ. But I'm with you about winter. I'm so sick of it. I haven't been able to wash my car in months. On the other hand she sure looks purty sitting there.

As much as I dig this car, maybe it's just not practical where I live(spends too much time in the garage)... |

Put mine away at the first sign of salt going down in December... got it out this weekend when it was 65 and rode with the top down. It's now 30 and snowing. Welcome to Michigan.

Sorry to rub it in but we've had top down cruising weather for weeks with temps now in the 80's and looking for low 90's Sunday and Monday. Moving to South Texas from the Midwest 6 years ago was one of the best decisions we ever made. Enjoy you car when you finally get it out of storage adn be sure and post something oobnoxious on one of my posts in August when we're on day 88 of days in a row over 90 and number 57 above 100!
PS I love visiting Canada in the summer - especially love how many hours of sunlight you have in June and July! |

Plus the heat, my God, I don't know how someone can enjoy the summer down there lol. But then again you don't have days where it's -28*F and causes power steering hose to burst off.

Glad I transplanted to FL back in 2002... got tired of the NE coldness & snowness as well. Blood has thinned out since being down here and any temps below 70 is not kosher for me.
Stay warm & bright, PremoDeluxe. Hope you can drive & enjoy your 45th soon! Freakin' all winter long would also make me You must have 0 miles on yours considering you're in MARS! |
