Most Miles Without Warranty

Who has put on the most miles without a warranty? What work have you done? Who did the work? Discuss.

For the sake of discussion, a tune voids the warranty while basic bolt-ons do not.

25 years worth of it. Which I guess would be half a million miles give or take. I have never hit GM for warranty work. 3 camaros owned. 2 were new and voided out of warranty within 100 miles. Back in the day I used to work on them myself, now I am wiser and make/pay my buddy do the work. My buddy owns a custom shop. In twenty five years I have never regretted not having a warranty.

Not sure how many miles, but I have never used a power train warranty for any GM vehicle I've owned.

1969 Camaro SS
1970 C10 Pickup
1975 Camaro Type LT (purchased new)
1978 K10 4x4 Pickup (purchased new)
1983 Silverado Pickup
1987 S10 Blazer
2000 Silverado Pickup (purchased new)
2001 Monte Carlo SS
1996 Corvette
2011 Camaro SS Convertible (purchased new)

I still own the 2000 Silverado (over 120k miles now), and the Corvette with 123k miles.
The new Camaro has 15k miles now without any issues so far.

This is a cool thread. I just looked around for threads like this on other forums out of curiosity. I didn't really find anything. I'd like to see a thread like this on all manufacturer-specific forums.

I thought Blur was asking about current Camaros. I am closing in on 60K miles, 50K without warranty. I did have the dealer replace the drivline at 36K miles, on warranty even though they knew I had a cam and tune. Only warranty work done so far. Would have had driver side seat heater done but it failed after bumper to bumper expired.

I fail miserably at this test... The only reason I bought a brand new car (and of the first model year) was because of the warranty...

I had a new clutch/flywheel/pressure plate/TOB installed at about 9k miles
I believe I had a stabilitrack issue around 20k miles
I think something else happened also, but it was pretty minor
Now my trunk doesn't want to open sometimes, and my 3yr/36k bumper to bumper is up next month, but haven't had a chance to take it on.

Up until this car, I have never owned anything with a warranty, so heck yeah I'm gonna use it! However, last time I counted I have owned somewhere between 40 - 50 vehicles in my life, and either myself, or my father and I have done all the work on them.

Wont void mine for anything, though I have not have the need to use it. My wife's Equinox has been in 4 times for engine work and once for the power liftgate, and ECU issues. It runs great now but she wants to get a 2013-14 before the 100K limit. I haven't had one problem with my Camaro in the three months/7600 miles I've had it, and hope it stays that way.

Still have my warranty (CPO) but I had to use it for a broken interior trim piece.

Both my current cars' warranties are still intact. Camaro has a C.A.I. only while the Boss is all stock. No warranty claims yet although I plan to visit the Chevy dealer soon for minor intermittent rattle in my exhaust (sounds like in the center resonator area) but when I do that I plan to temporarily put the stock intake back on first... just in case. The SS has 11K miles... daily driver.

I voided my warranty quite soon after I bought my car. 82,000 miles now and have had no reason to bring it in to the dealer.
