NORMAL or NOT
Can someone comment on their exhaust output and the tips of their exhaust...being coated black..... I had motor work done and a tune... Car runs great... But I have noticed the tips of my exhaust get that carbon build up a lot quicker and thicker than it did when everything was stock... Is this just the cause of the modifications? Or could it be running richer due to a conservative tune?.... Just know it's a b*tch trying to keep my new exhaust tips clean... Also I'm not running cats right now.... These are the mods I'm running also if that is a factor.....

Mine's stock other than the rotofab and Mild to Wild and my exhaust tips are completely black within 100 miles - I wouldn't overly worry about it - it's just a PITA to keep them clean!
Same can be said about the wheels!

very sooty after just a 30 mile ride...larger injectors and the rich tune these cars require cause this...very small trade off for the power increase!

Definitely!! Have you made it to the strip lately??? Been following some of your posts!! Doing a great job! I've never been to the strip.... But plan to do some this year and get some seat time! I have a set of new bogarts sitting here... Hopefully I can get the slicks and skinnys and see what I can do with them.... My goal are to get into the 10's, but I know it's gonna take a lot of seat time on my part to get there! Keep up the good work!!

Rich biased calibration like all of these tuners do on HP upgrades. Probably turned off post cat trim. Need to make it rich to get those ponies. Totally normal to see that coating on the exhaust tips. Probably noticed drinks a lot more fuel now as well.

No cats will greatly increase the carbon on the pipes. I noticed a large increase in build up after i gutted my cats.
