WTB Ceramic coated Shorty or LT Headers!!!
Got a set, thanks Krusher!!!
I buy and sell all the time, when the price is right. I am looking for some used decent quality shorty or LT headers. They must be CERAMIC COATED!!! I live in Vegas and it's a must have for me. Also they must be 1 3/4" or bigger, no 1 5/8" shorties. Looking to spend around $200 on shorties or $500 on LT's with some kind of connection pipe to 2.5" factory exhaust. I will buy ASAP for right part, contact and seller. PM with pics and what you got. Thanks!

This should be interesting. I have never seen used ceramic coated headers, shorty or LT, for sale here.

You found coated shorties?? Just curious.....did any of the sellers state why they sold them? The reason I am asking is cause there is an active thread where a guy is wanting to get shorties to save his warranty and I just replied that many people end up selling them......

Most everybody sells the shorties b/c Long tubes are better. We all know it, but some still want shorties. Most shorties are ceramic coated, most LT's are not. It's odd. I've stood next to a freshly driven LT uncoated and it is hot!!! With my manifold equipped car I can change plugs right after driving... Well driving calmly...
Here are some semi-recent sales all coated ST's for around $200. Here are some recent sells and prices of coated Doug Thorley's. $200 Shipped http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273166 $200 plus shipping http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=266979 $250 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265920 Hope this helps with your question.

Yep. That pretty much proves my point that I was making to the other guy about buying shorties then changing later. I understand the possible warranty issues though.
Thanks for those posts. I guess I never saw these because I really wasn't looking. I have heard good things about the header coatings so I am anxious for mine to arrive. If I see any coated shorties or LTs for sale, I'll let you know. Good luck!

I have a set of doug thorley's that I am taking off this weekend. I can get you some pictures, but they are not perfect. I was gonna post them for 300 shipped, but the flanges have some surface rust on them and are scratched from the previous owner.
On this thread I started awhile ago there is a few pics. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=242777 |
