Son of a....

Went out to my car this morning, and hey lookit that, two dents in the rear quarter by the fuel filler door. Weren't there yesterday when I got gas.

That's nice. After a week of work in which I had to come up with reasons not to break several of my co-workers' teeth, I now get to search out a paintless dent repair place that is open on my day off, and I'll get to pay for repairs.

Awesome.

I do not understand how your mystery damages occured, but I certainly feel your pain. Yesterday, last couple hours at the office, SOMEBODY did SOMETHING to my rig. I'm pretty good at the forensic side of accident reconstruction, but this one stumped me: The only possibility I can see is that somebody was carrying a brick (or similar size/ shape/ texture/ weight) and dropped it on the rear bumper area, where it glanced off, slightly creasing the fiberglass, and leaving a swath of scraped paint. The Camaro was parked in a place where only pedestrian traffic could be a factor; but, whoever the pedestrian was, they have chosen to remain anonymous. To quote a previous post: "miserable ba$tards."

That blows, I hate people who are careless. I park far far away from people and yet someone found me years back with my Pontiac and opened their door wide into my passenger door and left a red mark. Hate people like that, be conscious of your f'ing surroundings.

Sorta derailed my whole day. I was going to wash, buff, and wax my car. Instead I went around calling bodyshops and visiting bodyshops. Turns out my dealership is a Dent Wizard location which is OK

Looking at it, it seems to be a rear door from an SUV, you know how the dogleg makes the door have that odd angle? The Camaro quarter is concave there, and the dent looks like an ' i '. And there's only one SUV that parked near me in the last two days

I am consoling myself with a ribeye and scotch

I like my Camaro a lot, but let's be honest, the coolest street legal car I've ever seen is a 1966 GT40 MKII

That IS one cool looking car. Sorry about your car, I think I'll join you and have a bourbon whiskey.

Bourbon's not a bad idea. I have a nice Ridgemont Reserve '1792' around here. I think I'll put a dent in that fifth now that you bring it up !
