Northern CA, north east of Sacramento. That's Mt. Lassen in the background. It was on that stretch of Rt 36 that I had my car up to its highest speed of 145 mph. One lane road each way, about a 3 mile perfectly straight road with zero traffic in the high country. Not recommended under normal circumstances.
