Need help ASAP
I need help ASAP! I just painted my new holley valve covers and coil packs. Upon reinstall of the coil packs the car is backfiring and idling really rough. I am only keeping it on for a few seconds. It threw one stabilitrak signal but that was it. I'm at a loss. Now I don't know if I installed the coil packs in the same way they came out. But it shouldn't be doing this.....

Any ideas?!

Double check all connections! Sounds like something may not be getting good contact maybe! Check to make sure you have the right plugs going to the right coil also!!

nope. Are the wires all the way on? Both the plug and coil?

no they are all the same, re check connections and plug wires and unhook battery and try again

backfiring??? wait did you switch the coil sides? You kept them on that metal bracket thing and reversed them prolly....like drivers and passengers side.

It doesn't matter if you switch the coils around! They are all the same coils!

Sounds to me like something is wrong with the firing order. You may have the coil harness inverted on one side.

I thought when you removed the coils mounted on the brackets they had to stay on the same side. I know the coils can be moved around from 1 position on the bracket to another, but when removing the bracket with 4 of them mounted they are side specific.
