Allocations and orders...couple of questions please
Okay, I have been reading a lot about this topic and am a bit confused of the process as we did not order our 2LT RS. I know that my dealer is safe and is not going to close. He is steadily getting Camaros in from pre-orders. He has allocations and I have one of them to be filled tomorrow, I am told. He mentioned something about certain ordering periods each week. Those of you who have been through it and are going through it, do you mind letting me know if this sounds right.....this was his email to me about giving me my workbench/order number. He sent me this email on Friday June 19th of last week.
"I have 5 allocations over the next 5 weeks. The 2 this week have already been taken. Yours will fall into the allocations for the June 25 ordering period. At that time I will have an order number." (I actually went in today to tweek my order a bit and he said he will be emailing or calling with my order number once it is put into the system.) I have not been given any reason to doubt him but just want to make sure I understand the process. I have been dealing directly with the inventory manager and this was his email to me. He stated that it will probably take 8 to 10 weeks from the time of the order. Is this how it went for any of you who ordered recently? If my dealer is truthfull to me, which I think he is and I do get in this weeks allocated order as his email says, will I still sit at 1100 for a while or will it move through the system since there was a spot open or the allocated order was available? Thanks for the help and knowledge, Don

well I moved from 1100 to 3000 in about a week and a half!! then I have been there for almost 3 weeks and I finally got a TPW today!! woo!! so yeah I would say 8 to 10 weeks sounds reasonable!!
Good luck man!!!
