hey :>
i'm not a phone-guru and since i know how much you guys like to talk about phones, here's another thread for you ![]() so my good ol' motorola razr is apparently going down the crapper. buttons not working properly, randomly restarting itself etc. right now i'm on a t-mobile myfaves 300 flex plan and i'm paying about $55 for 300 minutes, unlimited weekend/nighttime minutes and 400 texts. plus the myfaves thing where i can call five people for free all the time. i don't have a network preference. so my next phone doesn't need to be on t-mobile again. but i don't really need any of the "unlimited everything" plans. except data of course on a new phone ![]() i'd like a phone that I can use as a GPS unit in my car. not just google maps, a real GPS. i need a calendar/schedule, do some internet surfing and listening to music via pandora would be cool too. can you hook it up a phone to your car stereo and listen via the audio system? now the two best phones right now seem to be the iphone and palm pre as far as i can tell. i read a couple of reviews for both of them already. any other phones that i should check out? iphone: i like the phone itself. any news about how much the tomtom GPS app is gonna cost? i really really reaaaaaally dislike AT&T and their nickel-and-dime strategies plus expensive plans. unlimited data + 450 minutes + 1500 messages = $90 a month! is there something like weekend/nighttime minutes? palm pre: i haven't tried the phone yet. the keyboard looks cramped though. lots of people having problems with their pre's, some have returned it twice or more often already. some say sprint is great, others say it sucks. since i live in a very populated area i guess i should be fine. how's the GPS? unlimited data and texts + 450 minutes = $70. what about weekend/nighttime minutes? any input is appreciated |

I'm more than happy with my iPhone. Web browsing is much like desktop browsing, e-mails are a breeze to check, all the games and apps, and I just love the overall performance and look/feel of the phone. Some people love it while others despise it. The 3GS just came out and it's "stock" with a video camera and it's much faster at processing things.
The new 3.0 Firmware is pretty snazzy, I've jailbroken mine. I still have my 2G from 2005/2006! Never let's me down! |
