Rx monster catch can ?

ok so, im trying to finally hook up this catch can ive had for a long, long time but im just trying to make sure im doing this right. The twin turbos are throwing me off a little.

Circle 1&2 i got it, simple enough but circle 3 is the issue. Where the hell does this last hose run to. Circle 3 is the only place i see were it can hook up to. Anybody got any answers. Im running the TTI turbo kit.

You need to find a place before the turbos to hook it too. Between the airfilter and turbo inlets.

i agree with Nick.... the center hole in the can goes to the drivers side vavle cover, one of the outter holes goes to the intake, the other outter hole goes between the air filter and turbo like Nick said.. It shouldn't be too close to the air filter, down some so it has a draw... Do the air filters clamp right on to the turbo inlets? If so I'm not sure how you would get it done, call Tracy @ RX... or send him a PM... Good guy who wants you monster hooked up correctly...

If they do clamp right to the turbos you could just insert it in the end of the airfliter. You just want a good place that will create a vacuum under boost.

Off topic but I noticed your running headers. Any gains? I personally would rather have the strength and heat retention of the stock manifolds but am curious.

The turbos are on each side of the transmission and the air filters are behind the fog lights. Ill have to get under the car again to have a look around.

Im not sure about the gains on the headers. I orginally had ARH long tubes but i decided to go twin turbo instead of supercharged, so i just needed shorties.

I installed the IPS kit which is similar to what you got. I "T'd" the nipple from the drivers side(1 in your pic) to the nipple on the LS2/3 valley cover and hooked them to the center nipple on the catch can. The nipple on the intake by the TB(2 in your pic) I have hooked to the outer nipple of the catch can. The other outer nipple on the catch can I have hooked to the air filter of the turbo. I just drilled a small hole on the end of the filter itself as it goes directly over the compressor wheel cover inlet and attached the line there.

The nipple at the front of the passenger side valve cover I have capped off and I put the optional breather on the oil fill cap. You will not need the nipple that is on the charge pipe(? in your pic) any more.

That is how SC2150 asked me to install it. I got the normal 3 nipple catch can but will be replacing it with the Monster catch can soon.

cant tell if your #2 is valve cover or manifold but valve covers go to center hole on the catch can and one outside hole goes to filter inlet and the other goes to the intake manifold. So intake manifold pulls vacuum out of boost. In boost the hose to the manifold is sealed by a check valve and the hose that goes to the filter pulls vacuum on the system. #3 circle stays sealed as others have said. I believe there is a diagram in the "understanding proper crankcase ventilation" sticky. I hope we've all helped.

That diagram isn't too helpful.

On any turbo or front mount SC system, the center of the RX can connects to the crankcase. Either rear of drivers valve cover, or the valley cover (prefer the valve cover).

One outer valve connects to the passenger side of the IM snout vacuum barb. The other outer valve connects to the inlet side of the turbo (as close to the inlet as possible, not our on the air filter as vacuum is nil there).

If running the breather, then cap front inner barb on pass valve cover. If not, then run line to end of air filter from passenger valve cover.

Hope that helps.

I am scanning diagrams as well.

I think they delivered the dyno to you by mistake. Tell them to reroute it to my place, lol.

Did you ever get my PM about my slipping and sliding at the track with full slicks. hahaha

So if you run the center hose to the driver's valve cover, do you cap the valley cover?
