Question third seat belt in the middle on 2LT

I want to add a third seat belt in the middle of the bench seat to the 2 shoulder harness seat belts to allow 3 kids to sit back there.
How would I add a middle seat belt or lap belt? using the two middle child brackets for child buster chair.

Can this be done?
whaere can I get one.

I think putting 3 kids in the back of the Camaro constitutes child abuse. Black hole of Calcutta comes to mind...

If the door sticker says 4 then it's not legal to do that.

Sorry boss... Get a CTS or a Malibu.

You cannot add a third seatbelt. Have you ever SEEN the retaining bolts of a modern seatbelt? They are huge lag bolts through the chasis of the vehicle that are torqued down beyond any piece of equipment you can buy yourself.

Also, since seatbelts are part of federal safety regulations on cars now, if you added one it could violate a safety standard. It would be like adding home made airbags to the rear seats..... great idea, but can be more of a liability than a safety enhancement. Technically speaking, since the car is rated as a 2+2, if anyone caught you with 3 people in back you might be in some trouble. Specially if they are kids.

You could probably rig something up with a little duct tape and twine.

Obviously it isn't legal but I wonder if you could get a setup that was a Y that would plug into the driver side. it would have one male end and two female ends. Then you could get another that plugged in to the passenger side that had a male end that plugs in, a female end that allows the passenger side to plug in and some kind of lap belt that would reach over and plug in to the other Y.

I'm going to echo what other posters have said, and suggest that this is a seriously bad idea. Not just because it's illegal, but because in all likelihood it isn't safe. These are your kids we're talking about, is that the case?

I'm guessing your wife is really thrilled about this purchase...

And furthermore, it isn't actually a bench seat back there. It really is more like two joined buckets, hence the 2+2 designation.
