Talking So excited!

I'm overly excited at the fact I ordered my Cyber Grey Metallic 2SS Camaro tonight. I went for the black interior option. I can't wait! The dealer was absolutely awesome, though I had a good connection so I was able to get the car at MSRP. He said I should expect to receive it by Dec-Jan however if he can he'll bump me up in priority number. Definitely so excited about this! I've heard nothing but good things about the CGM too.

Just wanted to share my excitement!

I actually saw my 1st CGM today and it had Black rally striprs. It was sharp but i think white stripes wouldve been super sick! You going with any type of stripes or she going to stay in her birthday suit forever? Either way it will be sharp and you will love her!

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get it! I didn't order any stripe packages I figured I'd keep it solid for now. I've seen several pics with white stripes and also black stripes but i'm not sure which i liked better. Im content with it beind solid for now.

As for a new obsession yeah you're right it's definitely become an obsession. haha

Wow that's so very kind of you. I appreciate it greatly but I don't think I'll be getting the stripes for some time. Unfortunately since I just ordered the camaro on Friday 26Jun2009 I don't think I'll be seeing it until about Dec-Jan. So thank you but I think I'm going to pass for now.

I keep reading threads about everyone ordering their car in May and getting it within the past week or so. Is this normal? Then there's others that ordered it back in February and still haven't gotten it or just found out their VIN. What's the deal with this? Also, how do you find out your VIN number? I apologize if these are stupid questions but the dealer just said "we'll call you about a month prior to GM pulling your order to assure you still want the same set up"

I think everyones orders move at a different rate. Mine has moved quickly to this point dunno if that will continue. I have found it works well to get in an "email" relationship with your salesman. He can check on progress daily for you and send you the event codes from the plant production site and the VIN when it is available. I am anxious for a VIN too so that I can order up some custom plates. Congrats on your order.....can you say..."Merry Christmas to me!!!!"

Congrats on your order!! Are you sure your dealer has allocation for your order right now? If you're not sure, you should ask that question. My guess is that he doesn't have any allocation, that's why they're telling you Dec-Jan. There is no way your car will take 5-6 months to build. If the dealer has allocation, you should see your car in less than 10 weeks!!

Yeah, +1 on that. Very true.

Yeah, I'm going to be ordering my Camaro on Monday or Tuesday, and the salesman I've been talking to says it should be about 8 - 9 weeks. If you just ordered, you shouldn't have to wait until December or January. It should be here by mid-September at the latest. Your dealer must have a lot of orders in front of you and a small monthly allocation.

The owner of the dealer is a close friend with my boyfriend's father so I trust in what he's saying. He said there's roughly 4 cars ahead of my order and he's been allocated approximately 4-5 cars a month. So I wasn't entirely sure whether the estimated Dec-Jan date was real or just over estimated.

Alright so I need some advice. I ordered the 2SS on Friday 26Jun2009 but I'm running money figures to see how much to put down and how much I'm going to have to finance. My goal is to not have to pay more than I am currently paying for my 2008 Pontiac G6 GT. I know that's asking for a lot but I'm determined to do it considering my car insurance will more than likely sky rocket (I live in Jersey I expect it). I'm going to trade the G6 in on the camaro so I'll have a decent amount for down payment. I'm looking at roughly 15k for down payment. Well what would you all suggest? the dealer told me that I can switch my order up until GM accepts it and I originally went into the dealer with the intentions of purchasing the 1SS but I realized I really want those 4 gauge boxes. Obviously if I have the dealer switch it to a 1SS then i'll be right within my price range if not a little less. but honestly the 4 gauge boxes are killing me. What do you all think? Thoughts and suggestions I'm open to anything. Do you think it's possible to order the 1SS and get the 4 gauge boxes installed later?
