2010 SS for Sale Austin, TX

Update: For those who went out and looked at the car and did not get the correct price from one of the salesmen, I am sorry. The car is $42,800. Ronnie, my salesmen has asked to give out his cell @ 512-299-1140 so that there are no other issues. Thank you for your intrest.

Daniel

Hey guys and gals, I am a member here who purchased a 2010 SS recently without the RS package. It turns out that you can NOT install the GM Halo's on a non-RS Camaro. When I purchased the car, the dealer, myself, etc all thought we could.

So here is the deal,

At Champion Chevrolet, in Austin, TX, my 2010 SS is for sale by the dealer.
Here is the run down:
1300 Miles( easy miles, still breaking her in, Car sleeps in the garage.)
2SS LOADED, Surnroof, 21" GMPP Wheels and tires WITH another set of the 20" Painted wheels and tires.
M6
Car Cover
Stripes down the center and Tinted Windows.

I love the car, but want to order one with the RS. If you are in the Austin Area, or close by, it is up at the dealer lot on 183N & Braker Lane (close to Braker). See Ronnie. This car is being sold by the dealer, but I can't order mine until it is sold. I have pics and dealer info below:

I saw your ad on craigslist today, so I went to Champion just to take a look (since I hadn't seen the SS yet)...they wouldn't let me drive it, because they said they don't own it, they're only trying to sell it..blah blah....I talked to a couple of people over there, both of which had no clue about anything....I asked about the price - one salesmen didn't know, but he thought they were asking somewhere around $46k....good luck selling it - I don't have much confidence in Champion anymore...I bought my Tahoe there, use their service dept, but I'm not too thrilled about the way they treated me regarding Camaro inquires over the last couple of weeks.

If they are saying they don't own it then Daniel should be setting the price. MSRP would be fair for someone stumbling on a car with 1200 miles on it.

Sounds like the dealer is working with you on it... hopefully they have worked it out so you won't have to pay taxes twice. Guess they will call this a trade in and subtract the tax...

Good Luck and sorry you have to wait again...

Thanks for the comments and thanks for checking it out. The $$ on the care is $44,300. That's what I paid for it. Keep in mind that the GMPP wheels are a $4500 package plus you still get the Painted 20" wheels and tires.

I don't plan on taking a loss here. If someone wants to have a Camaro when others don't, then they, like me, would be willing to pay. The $1300 miles should not be a big issue for someone who understans what has happened.

I am going to give them a week to sale it and if that does not pan out, I will see what else they will do for me $$ wise. $44k for any car is expensive. My wife's G8 GXP was $41. Austin just seems to be expensive on some of these cars.

Anyway, I am sorry that they did not have answers for you. Ronnie at Champion should have helped you. If he did not, I would like to know abou that. I will also mention this to them Monday. That does not make me happy at all.

Thank you again for all of your support.

Daniel

You can't drive it because it is my car and they don't want to be responsible. It seems that they are half there on trying to help. I guess something is better than nothing. There is nothing wrong with the car. If you saw it, then you know it is absolutely fantastic. If you are truely interested in buying it, let me know and I will meet you there next week and let you drive it.

I updated the main post on this. For anyone who went and saw the car on Saturday and was given the wrong price, I am sorry. The price is $42,800. Ronnie, my salesmen, has asked that I give out his cell for anyone who is interested. 512-299-1140. Thank you for your intrest.
