How many of you guys got the painted engine cover and the plated gas door? I'm on the fence. I have until 7/16 to change my order. I didn't go with either. Should I have? I also didn't go with the splash guards, but I've pretty much decided to order them.

These are simple add-ons that even my mother-in-law can put on. Don't worry about them, especially the engine cover because they were on constrains and could delay your order. You can easily order these thru GM later thru the parts department.

Do not order them yet. Wait until you get your car, then order them...You may find them cheaper aftermarket and nice looking ones as well..

Good advise- All this stuff does is possibly delay your build and you can add these accessories anytime.

ordered my car with painted engine cover and didn't get it with the car- it's on backorder.....

Since there is so much trouble with the engine covers, I'm willing to paint any members’ original Camaro engine cover to match their car with a quality automotive base clear finish and guarantee not to flake or peel off. I'm ASE certified automotive refinishing tech with over 20 years of experience in the field.

If anyone is interested please send me a private message and we'll discuss price, shipping and turnaround time. I'm personally going to paint my original engine cover to match, because what the heck do I need two different covers for? I’ll save money and so can you!
