Oil Pressure Question
What is the normal Oil Pressure levels for idle and while driving?, I noticed my oil pressure drop today while I was idle in traffic for like 10 minutes it was below 30, then it went up as I accelerated It was on the line after 30. I never noticed this until today, Is this normal for the SS?

At idle, mine sits around 30, maybe a little under. Under acceleration it moves up to between the 30 and whatever the high mark is. 60ish? In other words, sounds normal.

Depends on how hot the oil is, a little under 30 when hot at idle and around 35 or so cruising and around 60 when nailing it.

that sounds normal for 5w-30 oil.but if your gonna beat on these things and especially if your forced induction,my motor guy says 15w-50.thats what I run and carry about 10 lbs more than that.

This is good information guys, I will read up more on this. I'm so glad this is normal operation being that my car has less than 4000 miles on it, I was worried I had a problem with the car. Thanks guys.
