Flowmaster 40's
I dont know if anyone is willing to do this, But, From what im seeing on youtube. the Flowmaster 40 series Mufflers make the v6 mustang sound mean...
If anyone isnt in a financial crisis, please install these mufflers and post vids. I dont want to waste another $600 on mufflers for the 3rd time |

Took me a second to recongnise the guinea pig reference.
D - you keep talking about how much you hate the borla exhaust, but I still haven't heard any details about it. What size X-pipe went in, did you touch the resonators, which series muffler did you use, etc. EVERYTHING makes a difference, and the X-pipe would make it quieter than the stock H-pipe. Plus, no vids? Not trying to dog on the flowmasters - I love the brand. But you can't argue with the flowbench as far as performance, and those borla XR-1s have absolutely no restriction. - X

I have no idea if I got any performance gains out of my flowmaster delta 40, nor do I care. I love the way my V6 cavalier sounds with it. I would recommend it if you want something that sounds nice.
I still think the best idea is to get the exhaust diverters, best of both worlds. all out performance when you want, and quiet mufflers when you want.

OK, No video atm, but all i can say is this.
Just changes the stock mufflers with Borla XR-1's and didnt do the x-pipe, basically a muffler exchange. From what i see and hear, their is NO DIFFERENCE from the sound of the Stock and the Borlas. What a huge waste of money. P.S the Resonators and stock cats are still in |

Yes you have to have the cats but what about the resonators ? I dont think you would use those if you had longtubes.

If I took out the cats and replaced them with high flows and removed the resonators. My v6 would sound like a loud supra
