Any word on subframe connectors?

Has any company announced when they will have theirs available? I remember back when I bought my 2000 Camaro SS new I had BMR's welded on them within 500 miles on the odometer. I had the car for over 100k miles and it never became "rattle trap" or squeaked like many other 4th gen owners complained about. I should have my SS/RS in a couple months and was hoping to have subframe connectors ready for it but that doesn't look likely.

I e-mailed BMR and they said they should have parts available in the next few weeks. They are boxed and should be very similar if not identical to the G8 ones so I guess they should look like this:

the frame of the new camaro is built different from the 4th gens. frame twist was a PITA on 4th gens, with the new Zeta II frame, i dont feel that sfc's will be necessary until you are pushing OMGWTFBBQ power out of this thing

So you don't think it will help prevent rattles and squeaks? Cause a lot of 4th gens had these issues, even without massive power or racing.

You'll actually want to replace the rear sub frame bushing with a solid mount but sub frame connectors aren't necessary.

Kind regards,

Oh hell, what do you know Jordan!

lol

Nice to see you on here.. you guys making 5th gen parts? (I love your parts I put on Penny)

It's true that with the Zeta platform subframe connectors and nearly as necessary as with the fourth gens. However, I can't see how they would hurt and since we plan on doing a lot of autocross and road racing I think would rather have them than not.

I wonder how much these will actually help on these cars. With them as bulky as they are, I can't help but think they should be pretty stiff, and from what reviews are out there, no one is complaining about the platform. I'm not questioning anyone; I'll add SFCs if it's necessary, but these babies weigh enough as it is, lol. I know they helped my '95 and my '02. I had KBDDs on the '95 and noticed a big difference RIGHT AWAY. In fact, the gap between the storage bin above the center console and the bottom of the dashboard stopped flexing almost 100% after adding those things. My '02 didn't act anything like that, but I could feel the car flexing through the T-top jambs moving around. That all but went away with the SLP SFCs too.

I'd hop with a real roof we wouldn't have near the same sort of flex as past cars...

I hear ya on the weight. But the G8 ones only add 18 lbs. to the car so it's not that much. The boxed SFC's I had on my 2000 SS looked way bigger and thicker, they were probably more like 18 lbs. EACH.

Subframe connectors on the Zeta chassis are not needed until you start pushing over 750hp.

I think Pedders already have some, which are included in their Extreme package.

If that's the case, I'll definately consider them. I don't think I can have a stiff enough chassis
