upgrade from LS to SS

Want to trade my 2011 LS to a 2013 SS, and have tire and wheel question. We live in Colorado and may have to drive in winter weather, so I have a set of 18" Moda wheels and Blizzacks and need to know if they would fit over the Brembo callipers on the SS or if I should sell them and hope to get enough to by winters for the 20"s. Could use some useful info!

From my understanding (from previous posts) 18s will not clear. If I'm wrong someone feel free to chime in... Also you may want to do a quick search I know this has been asked quite a few times before

Not a bad upgrade at all 1Batmobile,

There is an adapter they may work, ck the website adaptit.com, see if the adapter would work with the tires you want to keep

I have aftermarket 18" on my LS and they clear the Brembo Brakes. My stock 18", that came with the car, do not. So I guess, it depends on the make.

Thanks for the info, I guess I will just have to put the wheel on and see if it clears, and will keep you posted on progress. My son is trying to trade with another dealer and they aren't playing fair right now, so guess we will see what happens when the owner shows up on Monday and hears what is going on.

You have Brembos on your LS?

I originally was looking at a ashen grey 1SS but my son was having a hard time trading another dealer for it, so I told him that it wasn't worth any problems and to forget it. Then today he found a summit white 1SS manual with a black stripe package, deck lid spoiler, body color grill and a short throw shifter. he told me that he would txt me a pic when he gets it in tomorrow as I will be at work waiting UN patiently! My black LS manual has the same grill and dove tail.

Is there any way you could just buy a beater for winter and park the Camaro? I have a '98 F-150 4x4 that I drive from November until spring while the Camaro hibernates for the Winter in my buddies shed.

Just had that talk with my wife today and I think that is what I am leaning towards. Last winter we only had to drive in actual snow twice an could buy a jeep or something for what it would cost for snows for the 20s.

It's a pretty good feeling when you look outside during a snowstorm and you know the Camaro is safe and sound under her cover until its warm again.
