Z06 & ZR1 Rims

Okay i know this isn't a new idea being thrown around

But I found a link with a ton of Z06 and ZR1 look alikes and for pretty cheap.

Check it out

I personally have an idea of getting the ZR1 rims and painting the "secondary" 5-spokes black and having a composite. What do you guys think?

Anyone who would be so kind as to photoshop that^ idea would be a saint in my book.

Looks like you will need to go down to 19's and also get new tires.

Well, some of us feel like going from the 20s to the 18s is an upgrade, not a downgrade.

I really like these in particular - wonder if they would fit in the 18 x 9.5 sizing.

You'd probably be pushing your luck with the Brembo caliper clearances...

Yeah, the word 'downgrade' is subjective. You may be decreasing your wheel diameter an inch or two, but also decreasing unsprung weight and rolling mass, thus resulting in a better handling car.....IF DONE RIGHT, of course.

I was considering going with 19 inch CCWs because the style that I wanted (and owned previously....SP500) does not come in 20 inch. It was a great wheels on my Z28 and I would love to see it on my SS.

not a new idea. I've been researching this for a while now.

I want ZR1 wheels for my camaro, but so far I haven't found any that would fit.(still not sure if the 18's would fit)

Uh oh... two cars in Cali' like this?...

I think I'd want to stick with the OEM ZR1 sizes and try to see about getting the same sized tires too. I imagine I'll be spending like $4K, but I just love the look of those wheels and think it'd look great on Camaro.
