Opinions on Cold air inductions intake??
So I'm thinking about buying an intake from CAI inc, they seem to have the best gains on Horsepower and claim to have increase on MPG. To those who have installed this intake, how satisfied are you? Have you actually seen any significant gains? Thanks guys.

I wouldn't focus on the claimed HP gains....there's to much ambiguity out there, he said she said, you didnt use my Dyno type stuff.....mostly they all give better throttle response and improve the sound of your car....dont get me wrong, there was an obvious improvement to my cars response when I put it on, just wouldn't bet the farm on HP returns...
I would look at the major brands and go with what you think will look the best.... I preferred the CAI because the enclosed casing looked finished and in my opinion cleaner over all.... |

If I had it to do all over again, I would get it again without hesitating. plus an oil filter is so much better than just paper |

Do it. I've never heard anyone talk badly about intakes.
Also we can compare performance when I finish my homemade intake! Lol |

Lol yeah that'd be cool. I just gotta figure out if it would mess with warranty. You know how dealers can be.. I've read some threads on here where guys would get their warranty voided just because they installed an aftermarket intake.. by law, the dealership must be able to prove that whatever is malfunctioning in your vehicle is caused by your aftermarket mods in order for them to void the warranty. Some dealers don't believe in that and will make it a hassle for them to go through the whole process of finding the cause for whatever might malfunction in the vehicle..

Just put the stock one back before you take it in. You can go talk to your dealership about it too.
