For those of you who have ground effects
Did you receive any factory parts back after the dealer installed your ground effects? Like rear bumper or front facia. Also were you charged for the painting and installation of the ground effects? If so, how much?

yes you receive the stock side skirts and rear valence. for painting, idk, i didnt want mine painted,

I just picked my car up. It took 4 hrs to install them and yes I did receive my side skirts and rear valance back. I had the wife take me in the truck. You do need a truck to get the stock parts back home. Also, they painted them and THERE WAS NO CHARGE.

GM pays the dealer like it is a warranty job, so no cost to the customer, the same as the stripe kits you order that are dealer installed. If you order them after the fact or the dealer adds them as an option the installation cost will be passed on to you, the same as the GXF, of course the cost of the GFX and installation should be close to the same price as if you ordered them and they were included on the invoice and build sheet.
I recently added Hood and Hockey Stripes to a SS2 and we charged the customer $525. Which I think is ether the same or to the same as if they were ordered at the time of build. |
