Connecticut Gas Station
Have a question for Southern Connecticut members. Has anyone heard of Forbes Premium Gas Stations? There's one in East Haven, CT and one in New Haven, CT. I've been going there lately because their Premium is hands down the cheapest in the state. Which makes me question if they're just running 87 in all tanks. Anyone know anything about that?? Heard anything like that?? Is there any easy way to test it without being a chemical engineer?

Chances are it's just a real low quality premium, which means it doesn't have all the additives as a top brand would have. I'm sure the octane is the same. The "extras" are what usually makes the difference between prices

V8's hold 15 gallons right?
15x$3.89=$58.35 15x$4.19=$62.85 $4.50x28 (assuming 28 fillups April thru Oct non daily driver=$126 savings Not worth putting cheap gas....in my opinion BTW my truck gets 10mpg unless I'm towing my trailer..then it's only 8.5mpg...lol I spend more on gas than on payments....

I would Never put any no name in my tank ....Ever. After working in a dealership in the service Dept I have seen first hand what some bargain gas can do to a car.

I only use Mobil 93 here in my No West Ct town. Just paid $4.28/9.
Another Mobil in the next town over is always 10-12 cents higher.
