Stupid question about order codes

I guys this is my first post and my 2nd Camaro. I ordered my Orange SS2 on 6/5/2009. I called the dealership today and said they just got a build date on the car before mine which was Aug 15th 2009 and should have a build date on mine in about a week. He said it looks like it will also be in Aug. This is fine as I was expecting to get the car in Sept anyway.

Does this still sound about right?

Also I see allot of people using the numbers:

1100 (original order date):
2000 (dealer received allocation):
3000 (accepted to production):
3300 (scheduled for prod):
3400 (broadcast): 6/10/09
3800 (produced):
4000/4B00 (available to ship/bayed):
4200 (shipped): (according to dealer)
4300 (intermediate, may be multiple):
5000 (at dealer):

I asked my sales person about these numbers he had not a clue what I was referring to. Can you all help me to understand these numbers and who at the dealership would know what number my order is currently under - who shuld I ask? I am guessing I am at 1100 and once I have a build date I am at 2000. Is this correct?

I can not wait to get my new Camaro!!!!

Order codes

STATUS EVENT CODES
1100-Order placed at dealer
1101-Order accepted by GM
2001-Order generated to dealer
2005-Order replaced with GM Prospec order
2050-Order changed
2500-Order sent to production, preferenced
3000-Order accepted by production control
3100-Order available to sequence (now the tpw becomes more stable)
3300-Order selected for production by assembly plant
3400-Order broadcasted for production
3800-Vehicle produced
4150-Vehicle invoiced to dealer
4200-Vehicle shipped
5000-Vehicle delivered to dealer
6000-Vehicle delivered to customer

This should help. A very important step is your dealer allocation. If your dealer does not have allocation, your order will not get picked up by GM. It can sit at 1100 for months.

Cars are 99% on the time built within 10 days of 3400. If you were 3400 on 6/10, you car should be here any day.

He couldn't have been at 3400 on 6/10. He only ordered on 6/5.

I must be in the 1%. I was at 3400 since June 12th and unless they were behind updating my progress it was not built before vacation. So I will be about 1 month since 3400 on the day they get back from vacation.

I ordered mine 3/19/09 and will not get it now until probably around August 3rd or beyond. Almost 5 months. It is what it is, just looking forward to getting it. I have been re-doing my garage for the past 2 weekends.

I got my build date of Aug 17th. When do you think the car would be at the dealership?

Some of the codes are wrong/outdated with respect to GlobalConnect. Placed at dealer and accepted as preliminary order are both the same thing....1100. 2000 is Placed (moved to the placed tab of OWB). These first few codes (1101, 2001, 2005) seem to pertain to the older system, not GlobalConnect.

my car was built on July 27th and is scheduled to arrive at the final train yard in california tonight. so when its built (and no qc hold) at the most it could take 3 weeks or less

It will be important for you to find out your order number so that you can track it

When you ordered your car you should have at least gotten a bench order sheet. The order is locate on that sheet.[IMG][/IMG]
