Something strange happening
I've had the car for about three weeks now, with the execption of a rock hitting the windsheild and putting a rather large crack in it, the car has been perfect... Until last night..
When I turn the car off, everything stays on, including the oustide lights (brake lights included). The only way to turn the system off, is to lock and unlock the car once or twice using the key fob. Anyone know what's going on here? The last major change I made to the car (i'm sure it's completly unrelated though), is that I called XM radio to add some services. I noticed it the first time I took it out after that.

If it only occurs in the evening or at night then it is normal. There is a feature which allows you to set the lights on a timer to automatically turn off after a certain amount of time has passed.

I thought there was a feature that leaves the lights on either on a timer or until you hit the lock button...

I guess it's normal. It does turn off after a while. I guess what threw me off was that I never looked back at the car befor and noticed the reverse lights are on with it as well. Seems like a little overkill.

I believe the change option is located in the vehicle options in the stereo. Hit the configure button and go to vehicle settings.

25 mins seems a little long. And i've not messed around much on my camaro but on my H2 I had you could change how long lights would stay on up to 15mins I think. It was a safety feature book stated. The lights stayed on so if you parked outside at night it would light up so you could see to get in your house and stuff. The lights also come on when you hit unlock on key fob. I like this feature. Except alot of people trying to help you out will tell you that you left your lights on. But hopefully this might help with this post?
