Got my car 5 days ago and I have 5 fresh spots on my garage floor. I can only assume it's engine oil, as the drips were directly under my engine.. wasn't red fluid. Could it be the spray the factory puts on the engine? Is it off to the dealer for service for me?

I wouldn't take any chances if you don't know what it is..take it in.

Just noticed I have a few drops of what I'm sure is motor oil on the garage floor as well. Just got the car last Thursday after a 2 month wait in QC. Seems to be coming from the rear of the engine dripping off a crossmember. 140 miles and back to the dealer I go!!!

Hopefully it's a loose connection or a oil line it self, some of the oil lines can leak where it goes from a hard line to a flex/rubber line. Somebody else had a leak and found the bolts were loose on the oil pan. Still a hassle taking it back to the dealer. That will be one more thing added to my check list, look under car for oil leak. Don't know about your dealer but since all of the closings my new dealership is now 50 minutes one way. Good luck

thanks for the input fellas, I'm going to check under there today, problem is I just ordered my car jack, and I dont have any lift. There's a dealer 2 miles from my house.

The rear main seal and or the oil pan is probably leaking.

Common on LSX

Mine turned out to be the oil cooler. Saw it with my own eyes up on the dealers lift. Part ordered. Should be in tomorrow. App. 1 hour job to complete. Should be done tomorrow afternoon.

Ok so, you guys gonna be pissed.. my leak was not from the Camaro, it was from my shi@@y Mazda rental I was using before the new ride got here.
