I'm kind of nervous about getting a Camaro because I hate speeding tickets! I haven't read any posts about anyone getting one yet though, so maybe the car's so hot that it actually gets people out of tickets! Am I dreaming? Has anyone received a speeding ticket yet, or one for no front license plate or drag racing or even donuts in the donut shop parking lot?

I've been driving around for 5 weeks without a front plate. Nothing.

I also pick my spots where I speed up some. No tickets yet. Also, make sure you make complete stops and no red light burning.

Not yet, but I've only had it one week. I don't speed, but with this car sticking out like a sore thumb, I don't even want to be a consideration. I ordered a Passport 9500ix to help with that.

Came close, was doing about 60 in a 45 in a small town in NE florida. I was not paying attention because I was trying to find a small side street.

Wife said "cop" and I looked down...rut ro. He just flashed his lights and I proceeded to slow the hell down

Very lucky was I. I think if I'd been in any other car he'd nailed me.

Dumb luck for sure... when you get pulled over for not using your turn signal you know you're in trouble...

I think it all comes down to the car.....

When I drove my Civic (modified, but clean) I got police harrasment and tickets left and right.
7 speeding tickets in Florida alone!!

Now, (although my driving style has not changed, always a good 10-25mph over the limit).. I NEVER get pulled over in my Hyundai Santa Fe.
If that is not PROOF of "racial/vehicular profiling" then i dont know what is

But now that Im getting into a Camaro.... i fear the Cops and their tickets will rear their ugly faces into my life again

I am hoping that at least for the first year that the "newness" and excitement of the Camaro will help me stay away from tickets..... at least for now

I was going about 150 km/h on the highway when i come up to a ghost car, by the time i hit the brakes its too late and he's got his party lights on. He asks me how fast i was going to which i replied about 120, he tells me I'm lying because he was going 116 and i blew his doors off. Then he asks me how long i've had the car, if i'd had a ticket yet, and then he asks me if i want to pop the cherry today, to which i reply no, then he tells me to slow down and have a good day. I couldn't believe it.

If it was a City of Conroe Police officer, it sounds like the same guy that pulled me over for not using the signals to change lanes by the High School. I got out of it with a verbal warning, my young son was with me and may have helped with that. I have used the signals ever since then, and still haven't gotten a ticket in over 22 years.

Probably was the same guy... I got a warning but was blown away for even being pulled over. The bummer was he also tagged me for no front plate. Warning also....
