Put wrong type of fuel, CEL is on
put the wrong type of fuel in my car now the check engine light is on what must i do?!

Did you put a lower octane in? I thought the V6 could use 87 without issue?
I would check the code, make sure its just a knocking code due to low octane, then perhaps consider picking up an octane booster to raise the octane level?

The only fuel that would trigger the light is E85 or maybe E15. It won't run on that well at all. You're going to need to have that fuel removed from your tank, refill with correct fuel, then clear the codes.

The only "wrong" fuel for an LT is E85 or diesel......

Maybe OP just didn't get the gas cap tight. That can set off the check engine light.
