Anyone else enjoy driving at night ?

Seems like for the last several weeks driving in 95 degree weather was a daily event. But Friday the daytime temps were in the low 80s and 70s at night. I went late (around 8pm) to the cruise night at the Target lot in Nashua NH. I stayed an hour and drove home in the cool crisp air with windows down and skylight open. I love the red and yellow colors in the dash. I even forgot about the door lights since I don't drive in the dark often. The car sounded good as it seems to be a little louder at night and the reflection of street lights on the hood looked great. Was wishing the drive home lasted a little longer.

..late night, especially during the summer, is the best time to drive a high performance car. Denser, cooler air is more prevelant.

Great time to drive a convertible too. Only thing I hate is all the bugs on the front grille and fascia, but they do wash off easy enough the next morning.

I know exactly how you feel brother! What makes me really happy and relaxed is going late at night (around 10pm) to wash the car at a car wash with the pressure washer. No one bothers you, so you can hand wash, dry, and do a quick detail! I don't know if I'm just weird, but for me it's so relaxing. I'll be leaving in 45 minutes

I drove at night for many years. A car runs and looks better at night.
Lots of good and bad happens at night but nothing good happens between midnight and 5am..

I always wait until the sun goes down. That way most of the blue hairs and PT Cruisers are in for the night.

All the time! Not only is the air cool/dense but there's hardly any traffic. And the few cars that ARE on the road are often in the same mindset as us so races/car talk are easy to come by if you're into that.

Yeah definatly! I sometimes cruise down to an outdoor DQ and park in front. It's nice to see the car under lights, and she gets a lot of looks without anyone knowing it's mine

The drive is the best part, windows down and no one else really on the B roads

Nothing better than a moonlit summer night mountain drive with the top down

On occasion I am on call for client computer emergencies. One night I didn't finish up at the client site until after 3am. Driving back across town was a totally different experience...no cars anywhere...every other street light was out and all the stop lights were set to blinking red. Felt like Charlton Heston in the Omega Man.
