2" TSP Headers Rubbing
I just installed my 2" TSP Headers and they're rubbing on the steering u-joint when I turn. Also the 2nd spark plug boot on the driver side touches. Anyone else have this problem? Otherwise I'm very happy. The car sounds awesome and can feel the power difference.

No, the spark plug did touch on my cousin when I installed them on my cousins car. So I just went to a place that sells MSD plug wires, installed them and bent the connector (you can do that with MSD's. if your not happy I'm sure if you call TSP they'll set you straight.

I don't have TSP headers but my 2" headers also rubbed on the steering shaft but only when turning. The easiest fix is to take the header off and dimple it with a socket (socket turned on the side). You will not be able to see the dimple and it will not hurt the flow at all.
Your other re courses are to live with it or loosen the engine mounts and see if you can slide it towards the passenger side any. I dimpled mine and another time I had them off, I noticed they rubbed the passenger side frame rail just slightly so I dimpled it there too. I understand people may not like the idea of something not fitting correctly out of the box and how some people may not like the idea of dimpling their headers. I honestly forget mine are dimpled until I see threads like these. My advice it to dimple it and be done with it as that will be your least amount of downtime. Otherwise, you might get caught up in sending headers back and forth in order to get them right. I honestly don't see how that would do anyone any good because I am sure they are all made in the same jig. I suppose the company could dimple them or possibly do a hand weld job on the offending tube to clearance it, but again, dimpling it yourself is the fastest, easiest way to do it. |

That's when I feel it too. I've tried adjusting the steering u-joint and still rubs
