A6 owner...any regrets?

The ZL1 is such a refined car, sometimes it seems a bit boring with the auto tranny. Yeah, it's pretty quick, but the power delivery is so linear I sometimes struggle to find excitement in it's performance. I never thought a car with 11 second performance capability could be so yawn inducing. I think I may need to start modding.
I don't think you m6 owners would have the same feeling.

No regrets, may be you just need to take it to a different type of track with turns.

...and that's the trick, it's gets mundane...too smooth...no torque peaks or high RPM band...flat and broad, and an early bounce with the fuel shutoff if one listens to his ear if used to early small blocks and not keeping an eye on the tach, hud, or flashing balls for the shift point on the hud.

Sometimes I do wonder what life would have been like with the manual. And I often begin to tell myself if I ever buy another one it will be an manual, but everyday after work when I'm crawling along on that parking lot also known as I-35 I am so happy to have the automatic. If I had the manual I might have already traded it in on an Automatic. However, the lack of the added fun factor for having the auto doesn't evoke such drastic thoughts of getting rid of the car.

Some of us ARE old! And...some people of any age appreciate high performance cars as much as anyone but have disabilities that make clutching or shifting difficult or impossible.

Love my A6--not boring to me (even after riding a 9-second Hayabusa for 4 years).

Cheers.

It's as boring as a white car, just about every old fart here drives a white car.

No regrets. Just wish it had a 7 speed DCT.
It's cool that GM offers M6 and A6s. Ferrari and others don't even bother with manuals.

Automatics do have paddle shifters around the steering wheel.

I bought an M6 for the feel, but its still only as exciting as you make it...like when you try to man handle it into 3rd, miss the gear and are already coming off the clutch.

All things considered, both the A6 and M6 are wicked fast, its just that the car is that refined...definately more so than I ever expected.
