neighbors lawn mower wont start

So my neighbor says her lawn mower wont start anymore and if I can fix it my kids can have it.

Last night I brought it into the garage after a couple pulls, I could hear nothing close to combustion.

So I did the simple stuff.

Pulled the air filter and cleaned it off. Wasn't to bad.
Pull the spark plug...... got good spark.

Sprayed starter fluid in the cylinder and carburetor, did a couple pulls...... nothing and called it a night.

What's wrong with these pictures.

An hour later, I was done cutting the lawn.

Pretty close. Stored the mower outside uncovered. 50/50 mix of gas and water wasn't working lol

Whyweren't your kids mowing the lawn, instead of you, with their new lawn mower?

Good catch Phil

Good catch Phil

They had the fun work today. I pulled out a large heavy 6'x3' pressed wood 8 draw cabinet in the garage to make more room for the corvette and the Camaro. I gave them a sledge hammer and told them to make the cabinet small.
They thought they were Thor lol

I would like to hope that after doing no more than you did, and after you mowed your lawn, you drove it back to your neighbors house and gave it back to her.

That's what I would have done. I do not take advantage of friends and neighbors.

I did even better than that since she lives across the street and we are a tight neighborhood , I had my boys cut her lawn before returning it.

They are looking at ways to save for a corvette ( they are only 14)...................... but the ideas I come up with that I used to make a buck as a kid doesn't seem to work with them.

They're being smart. They know in a few years you'll break down and just buy them the vette or hand it down. Haha
