it is no wonder why gm went bankrupt and had to get bailed out by our tax money

i bought my camaro in june with 16000 miles on it and gm cpo, i pulled it in the garage and noticed an oil leak so i took it to a dealer that was closer but not the one who certified it to get fixed, they the dealer who supposedly "fixed" the problem a rear main seal leaking told me they had a master tech work on it, so i picked it up went down the road and got on the gas just a little and lost power for a second or two and thought maybe the car was trying to decide what fuel mapping to run, so today i went and got gas and was on my way to the car show and the car stalled luckily in a parking lot would not restart so i had to get it towed to the dealer who supposedly "fixed" it, so what's the deal gm do you not pay your mechanics enough so they do not give a f*** if it's fixed right or not supposed to be a master tech that "fixed" my car, i swear one more problem and i'm taking the car back under the lemon law, and when on star picked the tow company to come and get my car they had chains that nearly ripped my air dam off

Yeah OP! It's your fault your Camaro is broken because you obviously don't treat it with respect. If you respected your Camaro it would never break. End of story!

Also, your experiences mean nothing unless you use proper grammar.

You're a bad human being

I'm sensing some sarcasm...I might just dial the grammar police anyways.

Isn't it obvious that he is just using poor grammar to mask his superior intellectual skills.

Okay, I am upping the game, $3,003.51. The extra change is in case someone bids $3,003.00, ha.

josh5781,

Feel free to contact me privately regarding these concerns. While I cannot guarantee any particular solution, I can explore some options and open a GM case for you to document these circumstances.

Kind regards,

William R.

Sometimes it can be difficult to get a sympathetic mature response on this forum.

Sorry to hear about the problems. I don't put a lot of faith in used car certifications. I recommend having your own mechanic look at the car prior to purchase. I would have the dealer pull all the computer codes, give you a list of them, and tell you how they corrected/inspected each one. That will go a long way to having a reliable car. Also look the car over yourself. Check for loose wiring, bolts that don't appear tight, things out of place, leaks, items cracked, etc. Make a list. Anything you find, tell them to fix it. They will put a decent tech on it, because they won't want you coming back. Also, I would have the trans and differential fluids changed (I assume the engine oil was already changed with the seal replacement). You don't know how the car was driven prior to you buying it, and fresh fluids will keep things better lubricated. Tell them you don't want to see any oil on the outside of the engine, trans, or differential when you pickup the car. Then watch for leaks.

Tell them you want to see the parts they replaced. This keeps them honest. It shows you are on top of them.

I would also have them pull the service history on the car. That may give you an idea of any prior problems that were not repaired properly, and things to look for.

The car may be at the dealer a while, but they will get the message that you are serious about having a reliable, trouble free car, and you are not accepting second rate condition.

I think if you do all this, you will have a nice reliable car.

Also if a tow company comes with the wrong equipment, you just have to send them off, and get another one coming. It's not worth damaging your car.

Michael

If they truly replaced the rear main seal that means pulling the transmission and reinstalling it on most cars, and could have led to a terminal on the electrical harness not being properly plugged in together, hopefully it is a easy fix and comes up on a obd2 scanner.......... Good luck, and I concur with the prior poster.....
