New here

Just traded my 2008 tbss 3ss for 2010 camaro 2ss m6 abm. Has adm cai , kooks headers, high flow cats, and borla atak cat back system. My question is when slowing down in gears it pops through exhaust is this normal. Almost like backfire. Ad i know when you put headers on most of the time it has to be tuned right? How can i tell if it has tune?

Car looks great, welcome! Not sure on the exhaust but someone will chime in or search the forum, tons of good info. For the picture size, resize before you upload but no worries as this is common.

The cracklin down from the exhaust is normal after the exhaust was modified....congrats on the new ride...enjoy the permagrin... If it wasn't tuned you have or get a check engine lite

DFCO... Deceleration Fuel Cut Off...

That is programmed in the factory tune, basically it cuts fuel when your foot is off throttle (THere is also CFCO - Clutch Fuel Cut Off which actives when clutch is in). Some people do not like this crackling so they request it to be deactivated in the tune. The gas mileage loss is really negligent if the exhaust is annoying. Some like the popping others don't. You can request your tuner to tune this out.

Vinny: What part of Florida are you in? if you are close to us I invite you to stop by the shop I'll be able to pull the file out and let you know if the car is stock or has been tuned, no charge.

the exhaust pop is normal. mine has it, brand new. I'm running the dualMode exhaust but i assume your aftermarket one is similar.

also, wow, congrats on the Aqua Blue. one of very few. I'm surprised the original owner parted with it.

Thanks. So far i love the car. Its only got 16000 miles. Reminds me of my gto. Whoever had before me put some good mods in it. Cai, header, cats, cat back, and led side markers. If it wasnt for the color i wouldnt have gotten it. Also they gave me 20000 trade in on my 2008 trailblazer ss with 39000
