Unhappy MyLink iPod Issue

I have a 2013 2SS 1LE and MyLink is quirky at best. I have a iPod Nano plugged into the USB port always. I select all songs, select a song and it starts playing. I want to select shuffle, so I go back into the menu and select shuffle. At this point, MyLink starts another song and the shuffle icon is highlighted. If I turn the car off and wait a few minutes, shuffle icon is no longer highlighted and MyLink will only play the songs that are on the album of the song that was last playing. Don't you think it should remember that I had shuffle on? My 2010 with PDIM did. Sometimes it will also come back on to FM radio on a station that I never listen to on the 3rd FAV list. I have a case with MyLink support already. Just trying to see if anybody else is having the same problem.

Yes, most are having the same issues, not much you can do other then live with it until some sort of update it released.

I turn off my radio before I shut down the car and that is the only cure I have found for it.

Thanks guys. Maybe an update will come before my Free Satelite Radio runs out. Drives me nuts to have to reset iPod every time I get in the car!

Hi StephenRay13!

I am sorry to hear about this. I see that you have a case open with MyLink support, but please let me know if dealership involvement will be required. I would be happy to assist in contacting your dealership to arrange an appointment if necessary.

Call Back From MyLink Care

Got a call back from MyLink Customer Care and after some discussion, it was concluded that there is no current update available for MyLink. He said he would contact me back after moving the case up the ladder to a higher support group. He called back a few minutes later to tell me that he had talked to someone and it was determined that this problem is a "feature". I'm a programmer by trade and this one hit my funny bone! Calling a bug a feature is common these days. I wish I could do that, but would get fired. However, the man (Paul) that is handling my case is very good and courteous.

I may have misunderstood him and he was saying that the memory state that the radio in my 2011 maintained was not carried over as a feature to the MyLink "infotainment" system. But to me, it's still a BUG that needs to be fixed.
