I want my Camaro to sound a little more mean.

Well I know I still need a CAI which i'm told will boost up the sound. What I don't know is is if I should get exhaust or mufflers or what. No idea with any of that. I don't want to spend too much... But it's a v6, 2013 1 lt RS package, everything is stock right now. What do you guys suggest? Mufflers, exhaust, what?

On the V6 I highly recommend some sort of muffler setup. A muffler delete sounds okay on the SS, but raspy and annoying on the V6 IMO. Personally, my favorite sound on the V6 is either the MRT V2 or one of Magnaflow's offerings.

Your best bet is to get a good set of headphones and sit on YouTube for a few hours listening to sound clips.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions or pricing.

Best regards,

I like the MRT v2s, sound really good. But possible something that's a little cheaper? I don't really want to spend over 500.

I really like my Flowmaster American thunder axle back, sounds great and comes with some great looking tips! Also, you should pick up some solo high flow cats, the performance increase and sound are very evident!

Get some Solo high flow cats. You will get a nice sound, no drone, and ~15rwhp performance gains.

If you are not going to spend over $500 exhaust, provided you meant full exhaust, is most definitely out. The $550 I spent on my MRT V2.0 is well worth it and I would not trade it for any other exhaust. You could actually save some money since you have not bought a CAI yet, there are combination deals that can save you money. But in the end it is your choice and it is JMO.

Dean.

Go with the CAI first. I fits your budget for now and it will give it a better muscle sound. Then you can do the exhaust later. JMO

MRT V2 was my choice.
I thought it was horrible when I first put them on, I thought "Oh God! What have I done", But now I hardly notice any drone at all, I have probably put about 6 thousand miles on mine now. I say don't judge the MRT drone until after you have lived with them a while..
Another acceleration clip.
