How long Rare color??

I left my dealer this morning and he told me he would put my order in 2day or 1st thing mon morning. i ordered a ABM 1SS with polished wheels? He told me 4-8 weeks and he does not have alocation but has only ordered and sold 2 camaros so far. i also herd the being the color is ABM it cold be longer because they my not be making that color rite off starting mon 7/13 with the white going in to production (so i hear) so tell me whats the true estimated time of wait?

GM states that the wait is 8-10 weeks if your dealer DOES have an allocation. If he does not have an allocation, then it could be much MUCH longer. I think the fastest delivered camaro on this forum was 5 weeks, so 4 is pushing it. I would venture to say that you will see it in roughly 2 months.

4 to 8 weeks but he has no allocation? Either he must be expecting an allocation this up coming week or he lied with good intentions. I ordered my other one a couple of weeks ago with an open allocation from my dealer and he still said 8 to 10 weeks. 4 to 8 weeks even with a allocation available is way too quick unless they doubled their production time within the past few weeks. Hope your dealer was right though as that would mean I could possibly have mine a lot sooner.

I would check back with him or ask the new car inventory manager to see. With him not having an immediate open allocation, I just don't see how this could be true. Make sure you get your workbench order sheet. This will reflect your progress each week or so. This will be the real proof of your progress...

Congrats on your order!!

The paint machine holds several colors. They make diff colors all day.

I thought it was old school too but was corrected by the mole about the paint machine capacity. Where is the mole?

Look at my timeline, my dealer had an immediate allocation and it's still taking me almost 2 months.

From what we have been seeing it is about two months from the day the allocation is accepted by GM. Maybe the end of September. I ordered mine in the beginning of March and I am getting it next week.

Need some info. I ordered mine on 5 MAY 09. 2SS/RSS, Cyber Gray, Auto trans, etc....I was the 34 person to order4 from this dealer. They said they had 36 allocations. I was told it wouild take 3-4 months for delivery. It is still in an 1100 status. From loking at these posts here it looks like once it does go to production it takes about a montha nd a hlf to get delivery. So the 3-4 months does not look good. I see larger dealerships that have the new Camaro sitting on the lot for the public to just come in and buy. How come my order has not moved from an 1100 already? Any ideas?

Your dealer has lied to you. If you ordered 10 weeks ago and are still at 1100, your dealer has NO allocation for your order. You will stay at 1100 until he gets allocation which could be tomorrow, weeks or months (only he knows, and he does know when his next allocation is, are you sure the next allocation is you?) After he gets allocation, you will probably see your car within 8-10 weeks. If he had allocation when you ordered, you would probably already have accepted delivery on your car.

If your dealer has NO ALLOCATIONS......... you will wait until he does. It takes at least two months from the time GM accepts the order into production to delivery from all the timelines I've been seeing.......

My dealer says I am #11 in thier production cue & they are getting 11 allocations in July....... so after a LONG wait (ordered May 9th) mine will finally make it into Production by the end of this month.... meaning I possibly (with no problems) take delivery at the end of Sept.
