Clean title... 1LT vin 5575. :(
But hey I would drive it fixed a bit. With bondo & primer even.. that way would not have to worry about the paint and body. |

Yep.
That'd be me. Won auction for $18,500. Now to see if insurance will sell for that. 3 out of 4 wheels ain't bad is it? Just kidding. I plan to fix and resell prior to arrival of my 2LT. I've priced parts as follows: $49.10 Lower Control Arm (mandatory per description) $103.00 Upper Control Arm (assumed needed) $27.52 Link (assumed needed) $30.00 Link (est.) (assumed needed) $126.00 Knuckle (assumed needed) $235.00 RR half shaft (assumed needed) / or hub $500.00 Rear Susp. Support (est. assumed)(assumed needed) $346.00 Rear Fascia (assumed needed) $1,416.62 subtotal parts Repair $18,500.00 insurance auction $244.00 shipping $18,744.00 total "as-is" with shipping to OP $49.10 Lower Control Arm $103.00 Upper Control Arm $27.52 Link $30.00 Link (est.) $126.00 Knuckle $235.00 Shaft $500.00 Rear Susp. Support (est. assumed) $346.00 Rear Fascia $1,416.62 subtotal parts $20,160.62 Grand Total (excl refinish) $675.00 Refinish/misc. $20,835.62 $1,429.23 Sales Tax $22,264.85 Grand Total (w/ Tax and refinish = COST) MSRP Invoice $23,880.00 1LT $22,805.00 $795.00 Dest. $795.00 $24,675.00 $23,600.00 $150 Spare $132 $995.00 Auto $876.00 $25,820.00 $24,608.00 I have a 4 post lift and have done similar work before. I figure I'll drive it for 4 months or so. I'll post the rebuild pics once started (assuming insurance liquidates for my offer). Last edited by bub; 07-14-2009 at 02:00 PM. |

I've figured worst case all 4.5 links (including shaft are bent/broken).
Also allowed $ for new IRS rear cradle and knuckle. RR ventilation box crushed a bit. Looks like the wheel took most of the impact (lots of bushings between there and the unibody mounts). Car hitting it must have submarined. I'll post the full size pics from home later tonight. 5575 lives! Definitely an Avis car out of Kansas City International. Checked them again tonight at KCI and they have similar equipment (1LT autos, no other RPO's). Unibody is straight or I'll walk. No bent exterior sheetmetal best we can tell. |

Check out the parts prices...I was pleasantly surprised (and I haven't even shopped them yet = GMPartsDirect.com, etc.)
This was just local dealer quoted parts (most were high list, as I told him to "give me the highest price he shows" for my budgeting purposes). SS had different rear half shaft, cradle, and rear fascia...and possibly some others I recall. |
