Ebay $105.00 cold air intake review

2012 v6 vert 45th anniversary edition

Will the haters please sit down and shut up... some of us can't afford 250 to 400 dollars CAI's. Thank you in advance!

Rtunes on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/130968926020...84.m1439.l2649

These just became available. 119.00 or best offer shipped to the house. I offered 100 no go then 105.00 and it was accepted. Different sellers have some in chrome if you like that and also different colors.

Anyway the system was well designed all parts were there but the instructions sucked. good fasteners and Silicone hoses including the elbow.
The maf sensor went right in place. the MAF connection was solidly welded and well positioned. I also feel the air cleaner was high quality too but I had to use my own oil as they didn't supply any.

now for the bad... the tube was just a very thin piece of metal that I believe was just painted and NOT powder coated.

All in all I feel it was a GREAT investment and am extremely happy with it...

Yes K & N type filters should ALWAYS be oiled to catch fine particulate matter!

I did a light spray just to the outside just like any k & N filter. Not a soaking LOL.

Crud hope I don't kill the MAF LOL

I can also clean it with cleaner if someone knows for absolute certain if it should be oiled or not!

Yes I know about the oil... I used k & N spray oil. I have ALWAYS oiled the gauze type k & N filters. And I have had a bunch of K & N (GAUZE) type filters.

I have raced dirt track and rode motorcycles all my life.

Cloth = should be oiled.

Paper = no oil.

Should be pretty easy to figure out.

I have had it about a month... yes the tube was thin, So CF header wrap helps insulate a little

The biggest complaint is the MAF sensor. There is not a lot of slack left in the wire harness.

Think I paid $118 delivered, I have a K&N kit (for my other car) and this filter needs to be oiled.
