Removing the Black Strips on hood and trunk ? HELP ?

Hey guys, I bought my wife the Cyber Grey Metallic Camaro with the Black strips on the hood and trunk... Well, she's had it now for about a month and doesn't like the strips.... Are they fairly easy to remove first off? Second, has anyone done this on the newer cars and worry about "Fade" issues ? Even though the car is not that old, I've been hearing conflicting info.... I don't think it would change at all with today's tech in paint, but friends are telling me different. Last, is this scare ledge to even consider doing this foolish thing ? I do not want them gone, but she does... HELP !...
