Wondering if some people "in the know" can confirm or debunk that rumor? I've seen it in a couple of posts and from "the dealer" that GM is going to reduce the amount of SS orders available and increase LT and below orders.

Why on Earth would GM limit production on a car if people want it?

They many want to produce LTs but the people want SS. We were told by Scotty/fbodfather that this wasn't going to be like the Corvette. If you want it you can order it

I've been reading a few posts with that in there as well...one was from a dealer or something and was using that to justify his mark up on the SS...wonder if this is really true?

I mean if it is...you have nearly a year of production left with no SS's?? Damn! That's gonna be a lot of V6s on the road!!

my guess the limit on the SS right now has to do with the M6 / SS on quality control hold.

That was my first thought, but (again rumor) was that GM was surprised that there were MANY more SS orders that LT/LS orders.

All of the lot stock that has been hitting the dealers have been 2SS. Im guessing they're going to run batches of LT's 'for the price conscious' while they work out the bugs with the M6 V8.

GM would be limiting profits.............that's insane. that's like the worst business plan ever!
