Need Your Opinion!

Hey Guys (and Gals?),

I am working with a company, and are trying to finalize a design for their widebody SEMA Camaro. They are toying with doing the design for the front and rear fenders shown below:

What do you all think about this? Opinions welcome! I will try and post up different angles when I get them made to give you all a better idea. But figured this would be a good starting point for discussion.

Thanks Everyone!

P.S. - Sorry Guys, unfortunately I can't post more of the car. There's confidentiality issues with doing so.

Not too bad from what you've shown. Are the ducts functional? I hope so. A shaker hood would be great too, but on the Camaro I'm not sure it'd work.

They aren't doing a shaker hood, but they do have a killer design for a hood that I'm sure everyone would like. I will be able to show more of the car closer to SEMA. Until then, they are keeping things pretty closed lip.

In terms of them actually being functional, I don't know. I am more on the design side. That would be more a question for product development when the parts are actually being produced. I will give them the heads up that functionality is something that came up.

Thanks again everyone, and keep the comments coming!

I'm new to the forums, so I don't want this thread locked down for me "advertising for another company" by saying their name. If a moderator can step in and let me know if that's ok, then I would be more than happy to share that information. I will try and find the forum rules about posting that kind of info too.

Real fender vents would be cool, we are 100000+ on a functional ram air hood.

Are the photos from this thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32416 your car before painted or does someone have a similar modification in progress ?

Nonetheless - I like your version.

Thanks guys again so much for the encouraging words, and support.

tjbusa: I will let the product development team know about the request for functionality with these vents, and see what they can do. We have a pretty good idea for a hood. Details of that will be released closer to SEMA. Sorry, I wish I could post now.

World of Wheels: Thanks so much! This is looking like it will be our final.

tjd24: That is actually a different manufacturer. It's the obvious idea for a vented fender to go all the way up to that body line. They just added a bar in the middle of theirs.

If I had to choose between cowl/ram air or a shaker...I'll take cowl/ram air. The shaker looks cool, but a ram air PERFORMS.

looks good you have a wider view. And it looks good but how would the rear vent be functional.
