MyLink w/Nav (satellite) config question
Ok, so this may not be the right place to ask, but does anyone know if it's possible to update the mylink nav to work with a different satellite constellation? Or if there's anything else I'd need to do to get it working in New Zealand?
I've managed to get the radio going with an old iPod nano and the aux jack but really I'd love to be able to use the in-car nav system instead of my phone. |

I Think your problem might be lack of map coverage. If I'm guessing correctly, your Camaro should be a US import. That means it will have built in map coverage for Notyh America. I'm not sure how far north and south it stretches.
The Camaro's we buy in Europe wich are correctly imorted through official GM channels does have coverage for all of Europe, but not US. So I think your GPS will find the satellites, but the position will be way off the included coverage. I don't however know if it is possible to change your cars coverage to include NZ, but maybe someone else here knows that.

Thanks for the reply, and thinking about it what you say does make sense as the nav works, it's just all grey.
I'll have a play around with it this weekend, but maybe it'll be as simple as getting some updated maps installed. |

I'd be interested to see how you go about getting updated/extra maps.

In my 2010 i have the option to set my GPS up. Not sure if you have this too. Yo may need to purchase a map pack of some kind and have it uploaded but should be feasible
