OMFG VIN #23315 delivered today - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Picked her up at 4 PM. Got there my paperwork was all done. I signed and was out of there in 35 minutes. Drove down picked my wife up (10 min ride) Came back went over the car with her and off we went for dinner.

I have to thank Lucio @ North York Chevrolet for everything he has done. I went into two dealers before his and no one wanted to touch the deal because I has a lease that I was only two years into. He took on the task and after a few small problems with the lease take over it finally worked and the car was gone. he also has an IOM 2Lt with a manual transmission and the RS package at MSRP if anyone is interested.

I have 82 KM's on it now. First impressions are this car is amazing. First comment I had was a guy in a pickup said "Man thats a nice car.. your a lucky guy". When I told him I only had 29 KM's on it I had just picked it up his response was "I hate you" followed by a laugh. Definately an attention getter. Had a Mustang driver give me the thumbs up and a mazda 6 guy wave. Had a few ricers staring. Had some women staring to which prompted my wife to start calling this my mid life crisis... My response was if I was trading her in for a 22 year old that would be a mid life crisis.

Only found two things so far I am not impressed with.

1) The trunk feels kind of flimsy.
2) Dont like the sound of the car. Doesnt sound all the Muscle carish. My first mod will be an exhaust that is more like the V-8.

To all those waiting for their cars I sympathize. I would tell you its worth the wait but that wont help your anxiety since mine is here.

My stripes arrived late this afternoon. They will be put on next week. I will be ordering the Gill stripes .. decals whatever they are and the tail blackout. Not sure which place I will be getting them if anyone knows a place that give Camaro5ers a discount PM me.

Yea I'm also doing the gill vinyls and the tail blackout...apparently they have one that dips down onto that top area of the bumper but I don't like that second bit. Just between the tail lights and with my rally stripes, I'm thinking that's gonna look pretty badass. definitely post pics of yours with all the vinyl on...for me

Well if your used to vehicles with the struts for the back lid a regular trunk might seem that way.

I just love the back end of the car. I hear people saying the dont like the back end of the car too much like a corvette. I love it

Looks nice a clean, You snapped the picture at the perfect time, just before sunset. Makes the car glow, aka The parking light hour. Best time to cruise
