2015 Nismo GTR

have you guys seen the new Nismo GTR?

http://www.autoblog.com/2013/11/19/2...ismo-official/

Quote:
Behold the 2015 Nissan GT-R as dressed by Nismo and inspired by the GT3-spec race car that competed in this year's Nürburgring 24-hour race. Called the "ultimate iteration of Nissan's GT-R supercar," power goes up by 55 horsepower to 600 hp with updates like high-flow, large diameter turbos, and torque is "over 480 pound-feet," which means it's risen by at least 35 lb-ft.

Helping to keep it right-way up and pointed in the right direction are a race-tuned suspension with a larger, hollow anti-roll bar, custom Bilstein DampTronic dampers and the use of high-rigidity bolts. Outside, a new aero package from the wider front carbon bumper to the carbon rear spoiler above a longer, tapered rear bumper creates an additional 220 pounds of downforce at 186 miles per hour compared to the standard GT-R. Rumors of a 'Ring time of 7:08 abound, we'll get the truth - and we assume some video - very soon.
with a 'ring time of 7.08....thats ****in fast!

That 7:08 time was placed by the prototype, and was mentioned that it ran R compund tires that the production model won't come with. Its an impressive time, but we will se what the production car can do.

I've always loved GT-Rs but the 35 was a slower one to grow on me. It does look good, though to me the best ones have the Ben Sopra kit on them, those look gorgeous!

Agreed. I'd never buy it, but it is badass.

That said, its price has doubled since introduction, so it had better be bad ass.

That thing looks like Satan himself ate a bunch of razor blades and then had explosive diarrhea at 1,000,000 psi of rectal pressure shoot out at it from 3 feet away. I don't care how fast it is, that thing is hideous, and for $200,000 there are much better options out there, and most don't look like that.

I'm hoping we get a performance version of a Corvette that can run with that. If they build a ZR1 equivalent, I think we will have it.
