Red face Paint Help? :/

My 98 Camaro had the perfect exterior, no chips, no scratches, no dings and no peeling...but After a year in college, students seem to not care about another person's car. Just because they drive a sh!tty a$$ car they received as a hand me down doesn't mean they can treat mine like they do theirs. Anyway, I now have all those things listed above, and what pisses me off the most is the clear coat peeling. Also, some idiot with a raised truck backed into my car while i was parallel parked and put a dent on my hood with his/her hinge!! I parked behind the truck and left for class, when i got back the damage was done and that a$$ was nowhere to be found... So now I'm looking into some options; i could take it to Maaco and have them repaint the entire car (Navy Blue Metallic) or I could get it retouched and get all the dents out. Which would be less expensive? Can i even retouch the car with the clear coat peeling? and some spots the paint actually peeled. I have no clue where to start...

I don't want the $245 special from maaco because i can just see them halfa$$ing it haha unless I'm wrong and they actually do a good job

On a second note, where do i go to restitch my leather seats?

Thanks to anyone who can help a Camaro Brother

Good luck finding a cheap place to repaint your car lol. I went to the dealership with my 2002 Z28 and they were going to charge me $2,500+ to repaint my entire car :(. It's going to be a LONG time before I ever get a chance to have my car repainted.

You get what you pay for man. I've not used Macco, but, I've had experience with "quick and cheap" paint jobs. They do not last. My friend's car was repainted and peeling in a week, colors didn't match, and it just looked bad. I may be mis-judging Macco, but I don't know.

If I were you, I would save some cash, and get a real paint job that costs a good chunk of change by a well respected car and body shop in your area.

If you have to use the cheaper paint route, I would just paint what needed to be painted.
