ZL1 Manaheim Auction values
Does anyone know what the current 2012 ZL1 manaheim auction values are? I am interested in ones with less than 10,000 miles.

Just a friendly suggestion. The Manheim values are pure garbage, and 99.999% of the time only benefit a dealer when they want to get a trade at a crazy low price. (insulting prices at best). I'd better suggest hitting AutoTrader or Cars.Com to see what the general asking rates are and go from there. It is like when they pull the "Black Book Value".....same crapola.
(I've had way to many dealers say "Oh, the latest Manheim sold value on your car was XXXX.... My reply was "yea, if it was on fire possibly yes"). For specialty cars that are just not in mass production.....ZL1, ZR1....for example, I'd hold little if any value to any auction pricing. So while I did not answer your immediate question, I do hope the option of AT or CDCom is a better help. Good luck.

Just for giggles I asked a buddy of mine who is wholesale used car manager to give me a value on my 2013 ZL1 I could use if I decide to go for the Z/28 (that is off the table now as I do not feel the performance of the Z/28 is worth all the fuss and extra money but that is besides the point).
Anyway, I bought my ZL1 in October of '12 (it is a '13 model) and was VERY surprised to see the value on the car was only about $4800 less than what I paid for it. He said that stock (still under warranty) '12 and '13's are holding there value exceptionally well due to the fact that a lot of people have modified them which drives down the resale value once the warranty is voided. He also said that the IOM and YELLOW colors and the black rims are also highly desirable now that those colors are discontinued. Anyway, I know that there are a lot for sale out there but the good news is that the secondary market is still holding strong for these cars, especially in their unmodified states. He DID caution me that if I did anything with the car that voided the warranty that it would be as much as $12K less in value. Since I do have the Roto-Fab intake, he just said to put the stock unit back on if I ever decided to trade it in and it would be easy for me if I decided to go that route. I know this is not the answer you were looking for but I though I would chime in with my personal experience. |

As someone with exposure to this area, you're better off using NADA values to determine what a dealer is using to get a car. Each car is different, and too many variables are at stake to really get a good fix on whether each car is worth the money.
I'd make a friend in used car management if I were you. At least then you could potentially talk someone into keeping an eye out for the car you want from a reasonably trustworthy person.

Well considering you can buy any of the hundreds of left over 13s out there for invoice or under its not looking a bright as some on here depict.
He'll the introduction of the c7 even hurt the resale.. alot of guys don't need the back seat and are opting on a c7.

Nice thing about the ZL1 (which was one of the reasons I took one), is, they are not out there every day. At some point the C7s will be overflowing on the road, granted a great car... depends what you are looking for.
