car seat help

Hi all. My husband and I have a 2010 Camaro. We have a 9 month old who will be in a rear facing convertible car seat soon. Also are now pregnant with another so that will bring us to an infant seat as well. Just wondering if anyones done this? I need a rearfacing seat that doesnt make me push either seat up so far its hard to sit in. Bc thats what our infant seat now does. I just need to be able to fit us 4 in when the time comes :(

It's gonna be hard I have a 13 month old and with the baby seat in rear it is a very tight fit for anyone in from passenger seat. Thank god I'm the only one that drives the car so I have no worries... Lol

I would say not likely. I had my little ones in a 4th gen camaro, and the wife had to scoot her seat way up. In her Grand Prix we placed it in the middle seat. Since Camaro's don't have middle seats the front seats will need to pushed up significantly.

thats gonna be tough. good luck. i have a 98 firebird and did have a rear facing car seat in back, but the front seat has to be all the way forward, which virtually prevents anyone from sitting in front seat. better keep camaro for just one of you and get a bigger sedan. you will get frustrated taking a car seat in and out of that small back seat after a few times. its just not intended to be a family hauler with babies.

the camaro is many things, but family car isn't really one of them.

Buy a bigger vehicle. Or as my ol lady calls her 2500, "badass mommy mobile."

We have no children -_- I do believe shes hinting at something.

We have a baby due in early January and I too am seeing how I will get a infant car seat in the back. This is one reason why i even got the Camaro, because it was "kid" friendly. I guess the wifey will have to be left home on our father daughter rides lol

Personally I couldnt have 2 small kids and my Camaro as a daily driver. I have 7 yr old twins and it's a pain still to get them in and out of my Camaro when they ride in it (mine isn't a daily driver) They can't buckle their own seatbelts bc of the way the booster seats sit in the back. Also my fiancé is 6'4 and when we all ride together, one of my girls has to sit criss cross so long trips are outta the question. They complain about being uncomfortable and not having enough room even wo my fiancé in the car. I know people will disagree bc I know many do have kids and Camaros but this has been my experience. I'm very thankful that my Cruze and Charger are available for a family car.

Edited to add: when I had my LT Camaro it was a daily driver for 7 mths and my current SS was a daily for 4 months so it's not like Ive never done it

Congrats on the kids! If there is one thing as fun as a nice car - it's some kids. I have a 9 month old as well and I am constantly blown away by how damn big those car seats are.

My wife is due in May so I need to figure out a car seat solution as well. My Camaro is a daily driver and my wife was sold on it being able to handle car seats. The saleswomen promised 2 would fit . I've seen pictures on this site of rear facing seats in the back of convertibles no less, but it sure looked tight for the front seat passenger. Luckily my wife isn't too tall and her car would be the primary people mover. Can anybody recommend a compact car seat?
