2012 SS BA Speakers

Can someone tell me which speaker size are in the 2012 Camaro Convertible SS/RS BA system? I want to replace all the speakers and amp but want to make sure I order the right size speakers...also what is the best amp that will fit in place of the factory amp?

Thanks in advance

pretty sure the fronts are 6.5 inch components with 1" tweets and the rears are 3.5 inch. I think there's a single woofer in there too. Maybe a 10 inch?

If you replace the speakers make sure to replace the amp. I put in a JL XD 400/4 but you need a second one to drive an aftermarket woofer or you can go with one of the bigger amps but you have to mount it elsewhere. I think you can squeeze a JL 600/6 into the factory spot behind the driver side tail light (where the Boston amp is)... Others have gone the Alpine PDX V9 amp also.

Thanks...will the JL 600/6 push both the highs and the sub? I am getting the JL w3 10" sub...do you know if that will fit in the factory sub spot or do I need to get the stealth box?

You may want more than the 200w for the sub. That's why I didn't go with the 600/6 and opted for a two amp system.

I'd suggest the 400/4 and the 600/1

The JL XD700/5 will give you 75w rms x 4 and 300w rms @ 2 ohm for a sub and will fit in the factory spot. 300w rms is a perfect match for the JL W3 just make sure you get the 2 ohm version. JL W3 should fit in the stock spot will a little bit of modification.

The subwoofer is 9" and is mounted in a subframe with the small amp attached that bolts into a larger , (rectangular), opening. Just get the ******** adapter and get a 10" sub and you'll have a simple install with no modifications!
