Question for those who have legally gone north of 160 at a standing mile or road race - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

For those who have legally gone 160+ mph.

Did you notice your hood shaking a little. I just would have thought that it would be pretty solid given that I feel this car is designed to go that fast. But it did shake a hair.

Any thoughts from anyone.

Yeah, it really starts shaking after 200kmh / 120mph.
But above 150mph you will barely notice, traffic gets busy

Mine shook a little at 150 but nothing to really make me worry about.

A little shaky on the front end after 160, then again it may have been my nerves clouding my judgement

There was a bit of shake, but I didn't really pay attention when I was north of 160.....

Never have went that fast in my ZL1,I doubt i ever will,Not that i dont want to but the more i think about a cripple with one eye,lol not the smartest thing to do...but before i was crippled,and driving in other cars i have noticed that effect,but on my busa at 160 it was pretty smooth,until i hit around 190 then everything seems to be shaking a bit if i was not on a really good track...on the street in the back roads we used to ride the twisty bits then it would feel like i needed a mouth piece sometimes,lol although anytime i was ever driving that fast i am looking 100 yrds up the road not at the hood really,just saying.

Been 202 in the standing mile and all I can say is it shakes alot
